Installing a closure wig without glue can be a great option for those who prefer a temporary and adhesive-free method. Here are the steps to install a closure wig without using glue:

1. Prepare Your Natural Hair:
Before installing the closure wig, make sure your natural hair is clean and properly moisturized. You can shampoo, condition, and detangle your hair to ensure it's in good condition.

2. Cornrow Your Natural Hair:
Cornrowing your natural hair is an essential step in creating a secure foundation for your closure wig. Follow these steps to cornrow your hair:

a. Divide your hair into sections. Start by creating a horizontal part from ear to ear and clip the top section away.
b. Take a small section from the front of your hairline and divide it into three strands.
c. Begin braiding by crossing the right strand over the middle strand, then the left strand over the new middle strand.
d. Continue adding small sections of hair from the hairline as you braid, working your way towards the back of your head.
e. Braid all the way down to the nape of your neck and secure the end with a hair elastic.
f. Repeat this process with the remaining sections of your hair.

3. Prepare the Closure Wig:
Before applying the closure wig, make sure it's clean and free from tangles. You can gently comb or brush the wig to remove any knots or snags. If needed, you can also wash and condition the wig following the manufacturer's instructions.

4. Adjust the Wig Cap:
Most closure wigs come with adjustable straps and clips to secure the wig in place. Adjust the straps to fit your head comfortably and secure any clips or combs provided on the inside of the wig cap. This will help ensure a snug and secure fit.

5. Position the Closure Wig:
Place the closure wig on your head, aligning the front edge of the wig with your natural hairline. Gently push the wig back, making sure it's sitting securely on your head. Adjust the wig to ensure it's centered and in the desired position.

6. Secure the Wig with Elastic Band:
Using an elastic band is an effective way to secure the closure wig without glue. Here's how to do it:

a. Put the elastic band around the circumference of your head, ensuring it's snug but not too tight.
b. Position the elastic band slightly behind your natural hairline, right at the edge of the closure wig.
c. Take the ends of the elastic band and pull them towards the back of your head, crisscrossing them to create an "X" shape.
d. Bring the ends of the elastic band back to the front, crossing them over each other again.
e. Secure the ends of the elastic band underneath the wig cap by tucking them or using bobby pins.

7. Blend Your Natural Hair:
To achieve a seamless look, you need to blend your natural hair with the closure wig. Follow these steps:

a. Take down one of the cornrows at the front of your head, closest to your hairline.
b. Gently comb or brush your natural hair forward to cover the edge of the closure wig.
c. Use a small amount of edge control gel or styling product to smooth down your edges and help them blend with the wig.

8. Style Your Closure Wig:
Now that your closure wig is securely installed, you can style it as desired. You can straighten, curl, or add any other styling techniques to achieve your desired look.

9. Care for Your Closure Wig:
Proper care and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and appearance of your closure wig. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for washing, conditioning, and storing.

a. Remove the closure wig before sleeping to prevent tangling and damage.
b. Wash the closure wig regularly using a mild shampoo and conditioner, following the manufacturer's instructions.
c. Gently detangle the wig with a wide-tooth comb or brush, starting from the ends and working your way up.
d. Air dry the wig on a wig stand or mannequin head to maintain its shape and prevent heat damage.
e. Avoid using excessive heat styling tools and harsh chemicals on the wig to preserve its quality.
f. Store the closure wig in a cool and dry place, preferably in a wig box or on a wig stand, to prevent tangling and damage.

By following these steps, you can install a closure wig without using glue, providing a temporary and adhesive-free solution. Remember to take care of your natural hair and the closure wig to maintain its appearance and prolong its lifespan.
