If you want to see everything I did to style this wig and get this wig to look like this, please keep on watching.
It's time to get started with our base, I have my hair braided in two braids, and pop on this wig cap on top of the wig grip, my head is flat at the back, so I'll be losing wig caps left and right. The wig cap is on now, we can go ahead and put on the wig.
Now I already know that I need to tint this lace, so I'm gonna show you what it looks like just popping it on you saw it in the beginning. Comes with the center part so we love that, the knots are almost the same color as the hair. So I'm leaving it, nice alone, but we do have to tint this lace. I'm gonna go ahead and take the lace scent spray it directly onto the lace and then we're gonna brush in and distribute the color onto the lace to make sure it's blended out beautifully. So I'm gonna go ahead and take a brush and I'm just gonna blend it into the lace. Next in order to dry this and set in the color go ahead and take my Dyson blow dryer I like to use the diffuser, so it doesn't have make the hair go all over the place, you're supposed to blow dry it on high in medium heat, not too cold not too hot. so that is complete we can go ahead and try on the wig and see what she gives now, see if the lace is good, see it's supposed to look like.
The next step is to flatten the hairline. Now this hairline is a straight hairline, it feels like the hair at the top, and it's a little bit silkier than the ends. What I'm gonna do is add this, she is bomb wax, I'm just gonna add it straight to the hairline now. Next use the double-sided hot comb, I would like to pull my wig back on my hairline, so I'm gonna flatten with that side in a second. I'm gonna take the back of the hot comb and flatten, so I'm flattening it backward boom hairline. She's flat, she's out of the way, but you see that hairline, how it looks now, oh stunning, gorgeous, beautiful!
Next we need to cut the lace. Let me pull this hair back and get it out the way as far as cutting this lace. I'm going to take my any shears and when I cut my lace I just follow along the hairline starting from the ear tab and I just cut zigzag. Next, I'm about to get a blend on this hair. I'd take the wonder lace bond and I'm just going to spray it directly to my forehead, I like to work in sections and I apply the spray to the center of the head and then I'll do the two ear tabs, I do the ear tabs last because it makes more sense. Next, I'm just gonna spray my ear tab area, let that dry and then I'll do my second layer to make sure she's in there. I'm going to go ahead and use my wig gel to like blend this lace over here. It has a silicone tip, so you can just apply this straight to the lathe wait till it dries down a little bit and then apply it over the lace. I'm just going to make sure they kind of like melt a little bit to us.
I'm going to part away my baby hairs. I want this to look pretty natural. I'm gonna cut down this baby's hair and use my Wonder lace Bond holding gel to lay down my baby hair. It's laid down and ready to go. I'm about to do the baby hairs on the ear tab, take this, lay down this baby hair, cut them short, and take some gel, just lay it on down, done. I'm gonna do the same thing to this side lay down these baby hairs and then we get to melt it. Now, I've already I've been melting this hairline for a long time, and I feel like it looks good.
Let's get into straightening this hair and styling it. So I'm gonna make some shake, I'm gonna take out some hair in the back, pull this back and I'm gonna start from the back to the front. Brushing through the hair, so I'm gonna take this section and see if I can touch the comb, see if I can brush through it, and then it'll do something. Then I'm gonna do the other side, I'm gonna go like this, and that's not even fully 450 degrees. Straightening the hair before we trim it and then we curl it, but I want to give curtain bags. Let's do the rest of the hair in the same way. The hair has been straightened, how pretty it looks.
So next I'm gonna do a quick cut, I'm not trying to do too much, I'm just gonna wrap the hair around and I'm going to trim the bottom light, y'all know how I cut right with no rhyme or reason, oh girl, it's even. I'm gonna take this hair out of the way, then twist it and clip it up. I'm just going to cut the rest of this hair starting from the edges, here, and I want just like light light layers, but I want like really long layers in the front like starting short, so I'm gonna start up here and bring them on down. I'm gonna do the same thing on this side. Now I'm gonna move through like the rest of the hair, but I'm not trying to do layers like that, I just want it to get rid of those back ends, just cutting that down, just a little bit, do the same thing on this side and the back. It's giving layers, I love it. Now for this part, I want to do bangs, I'm gonna trim off the ends. So I'm gonna take another triangle piece smaller now, and I'm gonna cut it one more time, just gonna cut that much off, it's gonna be real choppy, but I don't what care. That's a choppy central, good thing for curls. The last thing I'm gonna do is this tiny tiny little triangle because I want to have curtain bangs and I'm gonna cut these pretty short. Now let's curl the rest of the curtain hair and clip it up. Then we're gonna see how the rest of this works. So you just put the hair in this little slot and then you press a button and wait for the curls done. In order to set my curls, I'm going to use the Pantene air spray, smells so good and it does a great job of holding the curl. so this is what I'll be using to hold the curls. Okay, let's keep curling the rest of the hair, and then when I get to the bangs, I'm going to use another tool to curl the bangs up and away from the face. This is the finished look.
Do you see what this hair is like? All of the movement in this hair like this is insane, it's still a little puffy at the bottom, but it's absolutely gorgeous, I'm in love with it, I love the style, I love the bangs, I love the fact that I have this little bang. we didn't bleach the knots, we did a little bit of lace tinting and no plucking.
Let's start with the pros, everything that I just said, the texture is beautiful, it's very very soft, the coloring gorgeous, I feel like they did a great job, it's easy to customize because I didn't have to do much to it. Because of the hair color, this hair was super super duper and easy to style.
Now to the cons, the ends were dry, I think it needed a good trim, as you saw those ends were not given, so I needed to trim off one and a half maybe two inches. As for the lace, I don't think it blends as well as I would prefer. You may have to do a little bit of work and it didn't really blend with my skin tone. Of course, it's kinky straight hair, it really doesn't hold a curl as you can see, these curls are about to be out of the doll in a couple of minutes.
Okay, but I love how bouncy like. Come on, I'm in love with this hair. I think it's absolutely gorgeous, this is the type of hair that the girls need to be doing as I do, the girls are back on the job and I'm happy about it. like I need y'all to give me kinky straight, kinky curly, different colors that's what I want to see, y'all tell me what you think about this wig down below, love you all.
