Hair loss presents differently in each person. Male pattern baldness usually starts with a receding hairline and a bald spot on the top or back of the head. It eventually progresses to baldness on top, with some hair on the sides and back of the head.

Available under the brand name, Propecia, this prescription tablet blocks up to 70 percent of DHT, slowing, and sometimes reversing hair loss.

Notice: Finasteride is not approved for use in women, and women should avoid touching crushed or broken finasteride tablets.

This drug may cause significant side effects in men, including:

lower sex drive

decreased sexual function

an increased risk of prostate cancer

2. Minoxidil:


A topical solution sold as Rogaine and many other brands, this over-the-counter drug can help slow down hair loss.

The effects are maximized at 16 weeks, and the medication must be continually applied to maintain benefits. Some side effects include:

scalp irritation;

unwanted hair growth on the face and hands;

rapid heart rate (tachycardia);

3. Saw Palmetto


Supplements Saw palmetto, or Serenoa repens is an herbal remedy that comes from the American dwarf palm tree. It can be bought as an oil or tablet in most drugstores. It’s most often used to treat benign prostatic hypertrophy. But research also suggests it can be helpful as a hair loss remedy.

Platelet-rich plasma therapy:


Doctors may treat damaged hair follicles by injecting the individual’s own plasma into the areas of hair loss.

Low-level Laser Light Therapy:


This form of treatment uses a laser cap to stimulate hair growth and slow damage to hair follicles.

Hair Transplantation:


Hair transplantation is a more permanent option that allows us to harvest hair from the donor area in the back of the scalp and move it to areas of thinning over the frontal or receding scalp. Although the result is natural and outstanding, it is costly.

Home Remedies

Research suggests there are some simple ways you can help fix receding hairline and promote hair growth at home. These remedies include:

1. Check your shampoo for Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and Parabens and add a hair loss shampoo that contains active ingredients such as ketoconazole and saw palmetto to your routine, which may help ward off further hair loss and keep your hairline in good shape.

2. Take care of your diet since a healthy diet can help slow, and prevent receding hairlines. For instance, eat some protein-rich food and include plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits in your diet. After all, the antioxidants in the fruits and veggies help fight free radicals, which can cause hair loss and thinness. Avoid junk and too spicy food.

3. Exercise- practice yoga and running it will circulate blood properly in your body.


4. Drink plenty of water.

5. Regular head massage stimulates hair follicles and improves growth.

Mix castor oil, coconut oil, lavender, and rosemary essential oils and apply them to your scalp every day. Then massage your hairline well with light fingertips. Within 6 months you will see a noticeable difference.

Or you can try massaging your scalp with egg oil twice a week, leaving it on overnight, and washing it off in the morning using shampoo only once. It needs to continue for 16 weeks for visible results.

6. Avoid tight hairstyles such as braids, buns, or ponytails. At the same time, don’t color or blow-dry your hair to keep your hair from becoming brittle and prone to falling out.

With home remedies, you must be very patient. Use them regularly for at least 6months to reap the benefits.
